The par 3, third hole is a challenging, down hill shot to one of the very large greens featured at George Young. It is guarded in the front by two bunkers and usually plays one club less off the tee due to the elevation change.

Top 10 Reasons to play George Young Golf Course

1. It's the best value in Upper Peninsula Golf. You can certainly pay more at some of our "big name" neighbors, but if you are tired of stretching your pocketbook for a great golf experience, make George Young your next stop.

2. Big greens...makes it easier to hit'em and we like putting for birdies. Enjoy these beautiful bentgrass greens that roll true and quick.

3. Generous fairways and landing areas...no target golf here and no need to reload your ball supply at the turn. You've got plenty of room to roam on our generous links.

4. Recap the round in our Grille over a beverage or two. You won't find a nicer golf clubhouse...the beer is cold and the setting is spectacular.

5. Chicaguon Lake views...enjoy the crystal blue waters of the lake while you play on the back 9.

6. The Fall Color...from bright red to burnt orange our forests come alive with the Fall Colors...visit early, visit often, but visit at peak color and you won't be disappointed.

7. The smell of the spruce trees...nothing quite like the clean air and smell of spruce trees while playing a great golf course in the Upper Peninsula.

8. 10 holes for the price of 9...our "Front 9" is really 10 so we give you 10 for the price of 9...that's a good deal anyway you slice it (or draw it)

9. Play the 8 hole "Back Nine"...short on time, our "Back 9" is short one hole, play the back-- it plays faster.

10. The Hot Tub after the round...don't forget our indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub. It takes away the "sore back" excuse, and boy does it feel good after a round or two if you play our "daily double".
